Free App: ARPhoto - Special effects [iOS]

Is it possible to add computer generated virtual content to a photo, and make it look perfectly real? Well, yes it is, for instance special effects in movies have been around for ages... but is it possible for common people, armed only with an iPhone?

Well, at least it is possible now, with ARPhoto!
ARPhoto lets you, in in this first release, add one of three high-detail 3D-modeled objects to your photo. Put an elephant next to you on a photo of you on your front lawn and fool your friends that this elephant now is a replacement for your cat. Add a massive hole in the hotel floor and show the staff your photo as a joke complaint.
Specific conditions in the 3D world is required for a human mind to interpret it as real. ARPhoto does estimations of these conditions, and with small tweaks your photo will blow the mind of anyone seeing them.
Another way ARPhoto might be of interest to you, is as a tool to study computer graphics. No other tool or modeling-program will let you in seconds try many different real environments and light conditions for your scenes.
