Learn the word for fire (火), merge that with vehicle (车) and you get a train (fire+vehicle). Now add a mountain (山) and you get a roller-coaster (Mountain + train). Chinese is a language that builds on ideas and its logics makes the learning experience feel like a puzzle that anyone can solve.

We teach entirely through videos, where we first explain concepts and then show it in practice through dialogues with strangers on the street. Videos are shortened down to 1-5 minutes for the material to be kept concise. To make sure you are paying attention we will give you quizzes between the videos based on what you have just learned. Pass it and move on to the next concept.
Each lesson consists of 20-30mins of video content. You should aim at completing one lesson every time you start studying. This introduction course contains 4 lessons (2hours in total) and a little treat at the end.
You will also be given our course book in a pdf format that you should print out and keep next to you while studying.
Your instructor in this course is Felix Lattman, founder of Domino Chinese. He came to China 3 years ago in (2012) and learned Chinese on his own. To him, Chinese made a lot of sense and should be very easy to learn as long you learn in the right way. In 2013, he started teaching Chinese to foreigners, within 3 months all of his students could converse in Chinese.
Currently, Felix runs a Chinese teaching company in Guangzhou, China. With Felix's approach to teaching Chinese combined with the other Chinese teachers' experience in the company we hope to improve Chinese teaching everywhere in the world and make it both fun and logical.
Felix also co-host a traveling show on Chinese TV.
This is our first Udemy course and we hope to be able to provide you with a new approach of learning Chinese whether you have learn it before or are completely new to it.
