THE BASICS
Not so many years ago, I ran one of the biggest TV production companies on the East Coast - NY Times TV.
We had massive facilities in house - edit suite after edit suite. And at the end of the hall, a conform room where the final pieces were assembled. We also built what was then called a CMX Edit Suite - it cost more than $1million (and that was when a million dollars was really a lot of money!)
The rooms were big and not only expensive, but complicated to run. They had hundreds and hundreds of buttons, dials, meters and decks.
If you wanted to perform something like putting in a dissolve, it would take lots of time (assuming you didn't crash the i-square or the time base correctors).
In short, editing was expensive.
And complicated
and confusing.
Today, all that has been blown away by a simple piece of software.
iMovie.
Remarkably (as it is not only powerful, elegantly designed, easy to use) but it's free!d
This combo course goes deep into iMovie and aims to teach you how to get everything out of using iMovie on your iPad. You will learn how to create a project, import media, add clips to the timeline, add stunning transitions, sound effects, photos, music and much more. Then when your movie is done, the course will teach you how to share your masterpiece online.
